Legoland Windsor opened its new premium 61-room hotel this July .The ultimate premium hotel for any Legoland Windsor fan is themed throughout, but it has also added little touches of luxury to keep parents sane. The brand new onsite Castle Hotel is aimed at families who want the full immersive Legoland experience, but with a little more style. The hotel sits on the park’s lake, right next to the original Legoland Windsor Resort Hotel. The new hotel looks the part with an incredible castle façade and entrance. Visitors are greeted by knights on horseback made up of 160,000 bricks, standing sentinel outside, and a life-sized Lego wizard.

Inside there are carpets printed to look like castle rugs, expansive murals featuring scenes of knights, horses, castles and wizards, and Lego sculptures of dragons and knights, owls and cats. The castle walls are covered in wizards, bats, magic potions and crystals that glow. A ‘magic’ talking lift takes you up to either the wizard rooms on the first floor, or the knight-themed rooms on the second floor. Every room has a separate sleeping area for the children. Chidren get castle-themed bunk beds, games consoles, and Lego building pads on the table tops and walls so they can even build their own Lego creations on the walls. Children are also greeted with an introductory treasure hunt to get them in the castle mood. There is also pirate-themed pool and a Tournament Tavern with waitstaff in medieval dress. At over $1000 a night, a stay doesn’t come cheap, but your children will certainly consider it money well spent.
