FIVE STAR EASTER IDEAS AROUND SYDNEY AND THE WORLD

Easter is fast approaching, and with it, school holidays. To celebrate, here are some luxe getaways and activities to add to your Easter wishlist this year.

1. Egg-cellent Easter Trail at Vaucluse House

Visit heritage-listed Vaucluse House for a special day participating in a host of fun Easter-inspired activities for kids. Try egg rolling, egg-and-spoon racing and a hot cross bun ‘ingredient challenge’ that’ll have the whole family working together and enjoying the sunshine. You’ll get hands-on with some craft activities and even meet a few feathered friends at the Kindi Farm before claiming your chocolatey reward. Make a five star day of it by following the fun with high tea at the Vaucluse House Tearoom, where a special kids’ menu caters for young tastebuds.

2. Easter festivities with French flair at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is bringing some flair à la française to its 2019 Easter celebrations, with a themed Easter High Tea serving up delicacies crafted by executive chef Boris Cuzon for connoisseurs big and small (although Veuve Clicquot is reserved for mums and dads). The package also includes a French breakfast at Garden Court Restaurant followed by an Easter egg hunt held in the leafy courtyard, plus complimentary tickets to Event Cinemas on George Street. Within easy reach of some of the city’s finest attractions, it’s the perfect base for families heading to the city for Sydney’s Royal Easter Show.

3. April Easter Special at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort

Families can enjoy the cultural activities and five star facilities of Outrigger Fiji at a special rate this Easter, awarded the best family-friendly resort in Fiji over four stars in the 2018 Holidays with Kids Readers’ Choice Awards. Enjoy five nights in a Deluxe Ocean View Room, plus your choice of four days’ Meimei nanny service or two treatments at the Bebe Spa from just FJ$359. See the full list of inclusions and T&Cs here.

4. Egg hunting at Fairmont Resort & Spa Blue Mountains, MGallery by Sofitel

Set in the World Heritage-listed surrounds of the Blue Mountains, this five star resort adds even more to its family-friendly offerings for Easter in 2019. A special egg hunt is just the cherry on top for young guests, who can also find three games rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and even pony rides on site. Also make time for the Fairmont Express Train, which runs daily during school holiday periods.

5. Festivities by the lake at The Rees Hotel Queenstown

The fun starts on arrival for kids at The Rees Hotel Queenstown this Easter, with a bowl of chocolate eggs and a complimentary activity pack. Families can enjoy a range of movies updated monthly, games, popcorn, in-house babysitters, bike hire and direct access to an array of activities such as fishing, jet boating and the centre of Queenstown, not to mention luxurious Lakeside Residences with terraces offering views across Lake Wakatipu to the Remarkables mountain range.

6. Meet Easter chicks and bunnies at The Peninsula New York

Treat yourself to a luxury NYC getaway at The Peninsula New York, where the whole family can revel in a special Easter Brunch at Clement Restaurant. Select food stations will be tailored specially to little guests, though they may forget their appetite thanks to a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. They can even play with real-life chicks and bunnies at the hotel’s baby animal farm.

7. Family fun day at Pullman Bunker Bay Resort

Head to this five star hideaway in the Margaret River region for a basketful of fun over the Easter weekend. On Easter Sunday, guests will be treated to a complimentary scavenger hunt, jumping castle and even an Easter Bunny meet and greet. Make the most of complimentary beach toys and tennis equipment, and parents are well advised to make time for a trip to award-winning Vie Spa.

8. Take little yogis to Six Senses Samui

Families looking to put a wellness twist on their break can’t miss the Easter special at Six Senses Samui, where health is addressed in the mind, body and spirit. For young guests, activities such as batik painting, Thai culture classes and temple tours will provide that much-needed digital detox to get them back in touch with their inner selves, leaving parents free to find their own bliss. Kids stay and eat free during the Easter holidays, plus families save 40% on the best available rate when booking before 30 June 2019.
